We drive digital transformation by providing cutting edge communication infrastructure solutions

Our profile

CETIN Group is a leading wholesale provider of active and passive telecommunications infrastructure services in the Central and Eastern Europe region

Driven by innovation and true entrepreneurship, CETIN Group was formed as a result of a successful structural separation of infrastructure business from O2 Czech Republic and three Telenor branded operators in Eastern Europe. Today, CETIN Group represents four CETIN operating companies in the Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Hungary and Serbia.

CETIN Group is operating a high-quality telecommunication infrastructure portfolio, including full scope of mobile access network assets, extensive fiber backbone and aggregation network and high capillarity fixed access network. Our infrastructure portfolio allows us to provide a unique combination of telecommunication services. We are positioned to enable rapid and cost-effective transition to 5G and fiber for our anchor tenants and other telecom service providers.

As of 31 March 2021, CETIN Group was, in terms of the sites it operates, the largest telecommunication infrastructure provider in the Czech Republic with a 34% of the market share and the second largest in Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria, with a 28% market share, 30% market share, and 32% market share, respectively, making it well positioned to benefit from continued digitalization and growing data demand.

We operate strategically located high-quality sites providing a country-wide coverage and a full suite of telecommunication infrastructure assets that allow the Group to provide telecommunication services to its customer. Our asset portfolio includes approximately 11,200 sites, including 3,400 towers, 13,700 points of presence and 69,700 kilometers of fiber optic cables. In addition, CETIN CZ provides fixed access network services passing 3.9 million households by its recently modernized FTTC network and additional 0.2 million households with ADSL network and 105 thousand households with FTTH technology: together representing 85 per cent of all households in the Czech Republic.

The capillarity of 69,700 kilometers of fiber backbone and aggregation network enables us to offer nationwide coverage through a bundled offering of site hosting, active radio access network and backhaul and transport connectivity.

With the coming transition to 5G, we aim at leveraging our existing infrastructure, organization and relationships for developing future mobile sites and points of presence, which are becoming increasingly valuable as mobile operators need to meet the growing demand for data and will require highly densified networks for 5G.

CETIN Group has built a strong value proposition through its data centers and aims to capitalize on the forecasted sector growth. We serve mobile operators, third party customers and also use our data center portfolio for our own needs. The Group’s data center portfolio consists of 36 data centers (11 main and 25 EDGE) with a floor space of approximately 11,411 m2.

The Group invests a substantial amount in the continuous modernization of its existing infrastructure and the development and deployment of new technologies, services and products in order to remain a leader in the telecommunications markets at which it operates. The Group is currently executing 5G network rollout and also focuses on investments into fixed market segments, including extension of its well maintained and recently modernized Fiber to the Cabinet – FTTC network and ambitious roll-out of Fiber to the Home - FTTH.
